Quiz not yet available for this visa type

We're actively building per-visa quizzes. For now, the best way to assess your eligibility for Japan Multiple Entry Visa (Multiple 3) — Japan + G7 Travel in Last 3 Years is a free 1-on-1 consultation with our team.

💡 Pro Tips

  • Apply 2–3 weeks before travel — 5 working days is the minimum, but Embassy can extend.
  • Japan has rolled out Multiple-Entry visas for Indian travellers with Japan travel history (Multiple 1-7). If you've been to Japan twice in 3 years, the Multiple visa is much easier to get than a fresh tourist visa.
  • Income Tax Returns (ITR) are always accepted; bank statements are the fallback. Submit both when applying for Multiple entry visas.
  • For Student/Dependent applicants: always include parent/spouse's ITR + consent letter.
  • Photocopies on A4 only — other sizes cause rejection at VFS counter.

Common Rejection Reasons

  • 1.G7 travel history not shown (only non-G7 travel)
  • 2.Japan travel older than 3 years
  • 3.Financial documentation insufficient

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as G7 countries?+
G7 = USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Canada. Japan itself is in G7 but we need OTHER G7 countries + Japan. EU visa alone doesn't count unless Schengen travel specifically to France/Germany/Italy.
How many G7 visits required?+
At least 1 G7 visit (in addition to Japan visit) in last 3 years. More visits strengthen case.
Can spouse/children apply too?+
Yes — spouse or child of a qualifying Multiple 3 individual can also apply. Include kinship documents + principal's ITR.
Why this gets longer visa validity?+
Multiple 3 applicants have proven international travel patterns + financial stability. Embassy grants longer multi-entry (often 3-5 years) vs Multiple 1/2 (1-3 years).
Is Schengen visa equivalent to G7?+
Schengen covers France/Germany/Italy (G7) + 25 others. Stamps in France/Germany/Italy specifically via Schengen count. Other Schengen (Spain/Netherlands/etc.) don't count.
Can I apply if my spouse has G7 travel but I don't?+
As spouse of qualifying individual — yes, eligible. Include kinship proof + your spouse's travel records.
